Young Investigator Award THSTI-DBTTranslational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) is an Autonomous Institute of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Gov. of India invites applications for the Young Investigator Award (YIA) in the Maternal and Child Health area.

Aims and objectives:

The award will aid young investigators who have a strong aptitude for research and a desire to grow into independent principal investigators (PI).

Ideas generated by the selected candidates that crystalize into specific projects will be credited in the form of research funding support, publications and other benefits as decided by the institution.

The awardees are expected to develop a letter of intent followed by development of full proposal and implementation of the proposal over the course of the award period. Mentorship will be provided to facilitate the process.

Requirements: Applications are invited from candidates holding a MD and/or a Ph.D  in the field of life sciences/ Biomedical Engineering with relevant research publications.

Duration and benefit: The award is for a period of two (2) years with emolument of Rs75,000 / month.
