The National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Bangalore, the Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine (inStem), Bangalore, and the University of Cambridge, http://www.cambridge-india.org/funding-opportunities/ncbs-instem-postdoc… are pleased to announce the NCBS-inStem-Cambridge Postdoctoral Fellowship (NiC-PDF).
PIs from research groups in Cambridge and NCBS-inStem were invited to apply for joint project proposals to be supported through this scheme. The selected joint research projects can be viewed “here”.
The Fellowship allows for the joint-appointment of up to 4 Postdoctoral Fellows per year to work in Cambridge for half the period of a 4 year term, with the other half of the tenure to be completed in a partnering research group based in NCBS/inStem.
Postdoctoral Fellowships for four years, with an expectation that approximately 50% of the Fellow’s time will be spent in Cambridge and 50 % of the time will be spent in NCBS/inStem.
1.Subcellular organisation of calcium homeostasis and signaling machinery in Drosophila
2.Cellular growth control by phosphoinositide metabolism
3.Energy landscapes of designed proteins: structure, dynamics and thermodynamics
5.Dynamics of signaling by oncogenic Ras
6.Take-off and landing mechanisms in flying, jumping and falling insects
Eligibility:
Candidates should not have more than 4 years of postdoctoral research experience. Candidates must be sponsored by a local host who is a member of NCBS/inStem/Cambridge Faculty.

Your application to a specific Joint project will be considered and reviewed only after its deadline.

– Your latest CV
– A two page research proposal of the joint project, developed together with your proposed hosts.
– PDF versions of 1-3 first-author publications.
