Job Description
Snapdragon Chemistry is currently seeking exceptional candidates for its Chemist position in its Boston, MA site. A successful candidate will be joining a group of innovative and entrepreneurial scientists, with broad deliverables including the design of synthetic routes amenable to continuous flow processing, the development of reactor systems incorporating cuttingedge flow technology, and delivering intermediates or API as needed for our clients. We are looking for a candidate with solid leadership skills and scientific ability and who has a passion for working in a fastpaced, dynamic environment. A Ph.D. in chemistry with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a demonstrated ability to take initiative and engage in innovative problem solving is critical. Candidates must possess strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to drive results as a team leader.
Responsibilities
● Conduct research activities to ensure that Snapdragon Chemistry’s laboratory team meets its research and development milestones and all other objectives, including business development
● Ensure activities that build upon Snapdragon Chemistry’s proprietary knowledge and technology fulfill their value creation potential
● Participate in business development activities
● Participate in strategic business initiatives as needed
● Lead and also work well with a team to accomplish complex deliverables within a stringent timeline
● Ensure uptodate knowledge of continuous flow technology
● Ensure that the integrity and profile of Snapdragon Chemistry within the scientific community are maintained at a high level, consistent with the requirements of the business
Qualifications
Education:
● Ph.D. in Chemistry required Required Experience and Skills:
● Minimum 3 years of experience with a proven track record of successful research
● Established scientific reputation supported by publications and external presentations
● Expertise in continuous flow chemistry and organic synthesis
● Demonstrated ability to take initiative, be creative and innovative, and work productively and efficiently in the laboratory
● Strong written and oral communication skills
● Strong entrepreneurial and leadership capabilities
● Demonstrated ability to lead teams and mentor teammates
● Excellent collaboration skills
● Ability to celebrate differences and encourage scientific openness and frank discussion
● Teamoriented and invested in the success of others
● Ability and demonstrated willingness to comply with, and encourage amongst others, the ethical and cultural standards of Snapdragon Chemistry
