PhD position (4 years, ~2000 €/month) is available in the Polymer Reaction Design Group at the Institute for Materials Research of Hasselt University (Belgium). The research project – which will be carried out in close collaboration with several partners within UHasselt and other international research institutions in the region – aims at the modification of graphene and graphene oxide by grafting-to and grafting-from of various polymeric materials.The research project will deal both with the fundamental aspects of graphene modification, but also on the materials properties and characterization of the obtained products. Additionally, the position entails organizational duties in the research groups as well as supervision of bachelor and master thesis projects.
Candidates should be result-driven research personas with “can-do” mentality, have a good command of the English language and are willing to perform research in a team-oriented international research environment.
