Project information: The Interdisciplinary Stem Cell Institute is a center dedicated to stem cell and cardiac regeneration. We are currently seeking a Postdoctoral Associate who will undertake research related to understanding the molecular mechanisms involved in endothelial cell dysfunction in aging and disease. Responsible for designing and executing experiments relevant to the research area with mentoring from Dr. Claudia Rodrigues and disseminating findings by preparing manuscripts for publication.
Qualifications / requirements: Minimum qualifications include a PhD plus a track record of publications and excellent communication, writing and organizational skills. Experience in cellular and molecular biology, and biochemistry is required. Animal experience is desirable. Cell culture, preparation of protein samples from cultured cells and tissues, protein electrophoresis, western blots, ELISA, Immunostaining, Molecular biology (RNA and DNA purification, transfection, real-time PCR). Other qualifications include self-motivation, creativity, and ability to work independently and collaboratively. Any appropriate combination of education, certifications, and/or relevant work experience may be considered.
