POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN BIOACTIVE PEPTIDES at The Department of Agricultural, Food and Nutritional Science at the University of Alberta invites application for two postdoctoral fellow positions on bioactive peptides functional study in cardiovascular diseases.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Human Nutrition, Food Science, or related areas. Candidates must have demonstrated research competence (in terms of publications, research proposal preparation, research design etc), excellent verbal and written communication skills, team work and collaborative skills. Research experience in cell culture and animal is desirable.
Position description: Key research areas and objectives –
- Peptides preparation, isolation and characterization, structure and activity relationship study,
- Bioactive absorption and transport in cells and in animals,
- Activity and mechanism study of bioactive peptides in cells and model animals
