Postdoctoral position in the Bionanotechnology and Nanomedicine Laboratory with Professor Dimitrios Stamou, Department of Chemistry, University of Copenhagen

One postdoctoral position is available in the group of Dimitrios Stamou in the Bionanotechnology and Nanomedicine Laboratory, Department of Chemistry, Nano-Science Center, University of Copenhagen.

The position is available from 1 July 2015 or soon therafter.

Suitable Candidates

The Postdoctoral candidate should hold a PhD degree in e.g. chemistry, biophysics, or related fields. They should have a strong publication and preferably a previous postdoctoral experience. Experience with supramolecular chemistry and host–guest assembly, fluorescence-based microscopy, designing functional assays for enzymes and transporters, single molecule activity measurements, and/or some elementary programming are a strong advantage.

The candidate must work actively within an international, cross-disciplinary group of researchers: therefore strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory.

Projects:

Postdoc: Using fluorescence microscopy and biophysical methods the postdoc will develop single molecule activity measurements for transporters.

Place and Terms of Employment

The postdoctoral position is for 3 years. Salary, supplement, pension and terms of employment follow the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Academics Central Organization. Currently, the monthly postdoc salary begins at 385,140 DKK yearly plus pension (taxable). Supplements can be added according to qualifications. Non-Danish and Danish applicants may be eligible for tax reduction, if they have not lived in Denmark the last 10 years. Salary is paid according to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Federation of Professional Associations (AC).
