One postdoctoral position in the Bionanotechnology and Nanomedicine Laboratory with Professor Dimitrios Stamou, Department of Chemistry, University of Copenhagen: One postdoctoral position is available in the group of Dimitrios Stamou in the Bionanotechnology and Nanomedicine Laboratory, Department of Chemistry, Nano-Science Center, University of Copenhagen.
The position will be filled on 1 November 2015 or soon thereafter.
Qualifications / Requirements
The Postdoctoral candidate should hold a PhD degree in cell biophysics or related fields. Extensive experience with fluorescence microscopy, computational image analysis and statistical data analysis is necessary, experience with cell mechanics or Ras signalling is a significant advantage. The candidate should have a strong publication record, be able to work independently within an international, cross-disciplinary group and supervise a team of two students. Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory.
Project description:
Investigate the influence of membrane mechanics and membrane curvature on the localization of Ras superfamily proteins mainly using fluorescence microscopy.

The postdoctoral position is for 1 year, but can possibly be extended for several years. Salary, supplement, pension and terms of employment follow the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Academics Central Organization. Currently, the monthly postdoc salary begins at 385.140 DKK yearly plus pension (taxable). Supplements can be added according to qualifications. Non-Danish and Danish applicants may be eligible for tax reduction, if they have not lived in Denmark the last 10 years. Salary is paid according to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Federation of Professional Associations (AC).
