Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work under the supervision of Professor Dermot O’Hare on a research project funded by SCG Chemicals Co Ltd for a period of 6 months. The project involves the synthesis and characterisation of novel layered double hydroxide materials.

You should either already have a PhD in chemistry or a relevant subject area, or have submitted your thesis prior to taking up the post. You should be able to prepare, characterise and study the properties of layered double hydroxides or be willing to learn new techniques in catalysis, nanomaterials or gas sorption.
