Post-doc position – molecular control of pollination at Sharon Kessler lab, University of Oklahoma, Norman, Oklahoma, USA. The Kessler Lab at the University of Oklahoma is seeking applicants for an NSF-funded post-doctoral associate to assist in our studies on the cellular mechanisms of pollen tube reception in Arabidopsis thaliana.
Requirements / qualifications: The successful applicant will have a PhD in Plant Biology or a related discipline, a strong publication record, demonstrated skills in molecular biology techniques and genetic analysis, and a genuine interest in the molecular mechanisms of pollen tube reception. Experience in confocal microscopy is also highly desirable. All candidates must have strong English communication skills and a willingness to assist with the supervision of graduate/undergraduate students in the lab. The appointment is initially for 1 year with the potential to renew for additional years.
