A postdoc position is available at Technical University of Denmark (DTU) Chemistry for 12 months or longer, depending on the project and the qualifications of the candidates. The ideal candidate should have an extensive experience with organic synthesis, ideally with a background in diversity-oriented synthesis, an interest in chemical biology and the desire to work in a highly dynamic environment.
Applicants should have a thorough interest in organic synthesis and complexity-generating reactions. The position offers an opportunity to work with an international, dynamic and multi-disciplinary project. The studies will be carried out within the Division of Organic Chemistry, DTU Chemistry, which hosts a total of 6 faculty members and approximately 40 PhD students and postdocs.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Design and execution of synthetic strategies for efficient library generation from core scaffolds
- Communication with collaborators, at DTU and with external partner(s)
- Drafting manuscripts describing synthetic routes
- Research with some teaching. It may also involve handling other assignments to a limited extent.
Requirements
- Candidates should have a PhD degree in chemistry with a strong theoretical and experimental background in organic chemistry
- A strong commitment to research
- Enthusiasm for working with research students
- Independence and good communication skills
