This position involves data collection, economic analysis, and energy policy research on a wide ranging set of energy policy issues. Previous research in our group has covered biofuels, land use change, techno-economic analysis of energy options, solar energy, shale oil and gas, climate change, fuel economy standards, and other energy related issues.
The selected applicant will be expected to publish, play a leading role in research projects, and obtain external, competitive grant support. This person will be housed in the Department of Agricultural Economics but will establish collaborative relationships with colleagues in the Departments of Agronomy, Agricultural and Biological Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and other departments.

QUALIFICATIONS: The successful applicant will hold a Ph.D. in economics, agricultural, resource, or energy economics, or engineering related to energy. S/he should have research experience in energy economics and policy analysis. Experience in modeling with MARKAL-ETP and or GTAP is desirable.
