Applications are invited for a Research Associate to work with Dr Vijay Chudasama, Prof. Stephen Caddick, Dr James Baker and Prof. Kerry Chester in the Department of Chemistry at University College London. The appointees will work in a highly motivated interdisciplinary team on the application of a new chemical platform technology to the development of next generation antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and bispecifics.This is a research project funded by the EPSRC, for a period of 3 years initially, and the appointment will start after 30th June 2015.
Key Requirements
The successful candidate will have a PhD degree in the area of Chemical Biology, expertise in protein/peptide modification and characterisation, and knowledge of research techniques required for synthetic organic chemistry.
Salary
Salary will be on the UCL Grade 7 scale, £33,353 to 40,313 per annum (including London allowance of £2,919 p.a.)
Please note, appointment at Grade 7 is dependent upon having been awarded a PhD; if this is not the case, initial appointment will be at Research Assistant Grade 6 (salary £29,193 – £30,783 per annum) with payment at Grade 7 being backdated to the date of final submission of the PhD thesis.
