Biochemistry: Postdoctoral Research Fellowship; UiO 1171 views

A position of postdoc researcher is available in Biochemistry at the Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, University of Oslo. The place is associated with the research group of Prof. Heidi Kiil Blomhoff on the project “Vitamin A and DNA damage responses in normal and CVID-derived B cells”. The project is funded by The Norwegian Cancer Society for a period of 2 years and 6 months

Qualifications

  • Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in cell biology, molecular biology or equivalent to a Norwegian degree.
  • Applicant must be a motivated individual with the personal prerequisite to carry out the project.
  • Applicant must be able to work independently, take initiatives and be responsible for own progress.
  • Applicant must be experienced in molecular or cell biological and immunological techniques, such as isolation and culturing of lymphocytes, cell transfections (siRNA) techniques, Western blot analysis, confocal microscopy, and flow cytometry analysis.
  • Applicant must have some experience with methodology relevant for analysis of DNA damage responses, ROS and autophagy will also be considered as an advantage.
  • Applicant must have English fluently (speak and write).
  • More emphasis will be ascribed to team-working and personal skills
