Maplethorpe Fellowships for pharmaceutical education and excellence in research: The Fellowships have been established under the Will of the late Mr Cyril W Maplethorpe for the promotion of pharmaceutical education and excellence in research. The Fellowships may be held at the University College London School of Pharmacy and the Department of Pharmacy & Forensic Science at King’s College London.

Requirements:  Applications are encouraged from early career researchers. Although preference is given to Pharmacists, non-pharmacists working in a relevant field may also apply. Applications from international candidates are welcome.

Each award will be up to two years’ duration. The Fellowship will comprise the salary for the fellow, consumables and travel allowance.

How to apply

Applicants should engage with your proposed academic sponsor in the development of your application. Your academic sponsor is required to submit a recommendation for you as part of the application form.

Prior to submission, forms must be signed by:

  • Professor Peter Hylands, the Head of the Pharmacy & Forensic Science Department, King’s College London if applying to undertake a fellowship at King’s.
  • Professor Duncan Craig, the Director of the UCL School of Pharmacy if applying to undertake a fellowship at UCL, or

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application on or before 15 May (tentatively every year).
