University of Oslo (UiO) invites application for a position as PhD Research fellow in biomedical engineering at The Department of Physics. This position is funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network (MSCA-ITN) project “Training4CRM” within the Horizon 2020 programme of the European Union.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in biomedical engineering, biochemistry, or similar within the Natural Sciences
  • Applicant must have some experience with characterization methods for cells or biomaterials.
  • Applicant must have experience with cell culturing; electrical characterization of cells or other biomaterials; design of microelectrode systems for bio-impedance measurements; Molecular biological analysis methods (such as immunocytochemistry, qPCR, Western Blot)

Requirement:

  • The fellowship requires admission to the PhD programme at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
  • The application to the PhD programme must be submitted to the department no later than two months after taking up the position
