Postdoctoral Researcher Position in Magnetic Materials at National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Japan
Project Description: The applicant would be required to do Atomistic model study on the mechanism of coercive force in permanent magnets in cooperation with the center members.
More importantly, analysis of magnetization reversal dynamics (nucleation, depinning, domain wall motion, etc) by applying statistical physical simulations (stochastic Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert eq., Monte Carlo methods, etc.) and development of large-scale simulation methods in cooperation with NIMS principal researcher, Dr. Masamichi Nishino.
Position is offered as Full-time (Nontenured).
Research Areas: All disciplines of Mathematical and physical sciences.
Qualification:
- A PhD degree.
- Knowledge of magnetic theory and magnetic properties and experience of computational simulation study are desired.
