03 Postdoc Associates Position: Duke University – Postdoc Associates position in PCORI and NIDA Clinical Trials Network Studies at the Department of Psychiatry, Duke University
Three (03) postdoc positions are available for studies funded by
- NIDA National Drug Abuse Treatment Clinical Trials Network (CTN) and
- Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University School of Medicine.
Research Theme:
- These studies are related to opioid use disorder treatment in primary care, electronic health records (EHR) data element research, substance use screening and intervention, and opioid management among patients with chronic noncancer pain.
- The candidate will have the opportunity to apply epidemiological, data science, informatics, statistical, and clinical trial methods and approaches to study opioid use, substance use disorders, comorbidities & related interventions.
- Project tasks may include: project management, study recruitment and data collection, database management, statistical analysis, grant writing, & preparation of research manuscripts for publication.
Eligibility / Requirements:
- Individuals with experience or strong interest in learning or conducting behavioral health research in primary care or the use/analysis of EHR data in addiction/mental health research are especially encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge or experience with clinical informatics or data science is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills are essential.
