The Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics invites applications for 2 Post-Doctoral Fellows. The institute is an international research institute focused on cell and developmental biology. Candidates interested in proteins, mutations, evolution and programming are encouraged to apply. The institute is seeking motivated and independent post-doctoral fellows for two new interdisciplinary projects in the laboratory of Dr. Agnes Toth-Petroczy.
Projects:
- Disordered proteins in phase transition and diseases
- Phenotypic mutations and their role in evolution and diseases
Qualifications:
- Applicant must hold a doctoral degree and documented experience in Computer Science / Bioinformatics / Biochemistry / Biophysics / Systems Biology.
- Applicant must be able to interact with members of an interdisciplinary team of cell biologists, omics scientists and computer scientists in a competitive international environment
- Applicant must possess excellent communication and data presentation skills.
Starting date: available immediately (full-time)
Duration: 2 years with possible extension
