University of Cambridge is offering the Winton Advanced Research Fellowship scheme. The scheme supports the outstanding, scientists, providing substantial support packages comparable to those for Assistant Professor positions to enable Fellows to establish and lead their own independent research group.
About the fellowship:
- The selected candidates are expected to be of the caliber that would be competitive for schemes such as the Royal Society University Research Fellowship (URF), European Research Council (ERC) Starter grants and Assistant Professorship positions across the world.
- The selected fellows are expected to win permanent posts in universities at the end of their fellowships.
- The applications are invited for up to two Group Leaders – Advanced Research Fellows.
Requirements:
- Applicant must hold at least one post-doctoral appointment at an institution different to that at which their PhD was obtained.
Duration: 5 years’
Fellowship value: £39,992-£50,618 per annum
