The University of Twente (UT) has started a five-year research program on people-centered robotics that crosses the boundaries of the University’s faculties and research institutes. The program aims to further strengthen the position and visibility of the Twente region as an influential and active player for robotics research, development, testing and implementation. Two of the core research areas in the Twente Robotics program are telerobotics and wearable robotics; important application domains are healthcare and maintenance & inspection.
