The Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSc) is funded by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India. It is a national Institution for fundamental research in the theoretical sciences. The institute runs a selective PhD program, supports several scientists at the postdoctoral level, and runs an active visiting scientist programme, hosting scientists from all over the world.
