International Max Planck Research School for Science and Technology of Nano-Systems (IMPRS STNS) is inviting applications for PhD programme from all over the world. The research will be carrying out into novel atomically engineered materials for nano-systems which tackle grand societal challenges in the fields of information technology and sustainability.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must hold or will obtain a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Sciences, Engineering or related fields with outstanding grades.
  • A good command of the English language is required as English is the working language.
  • To be considered for the program, the final grade of the degree must be equivalent to or better than the grade “good” (Master’s degree at least 2.0) in the German educational system.
