University of Luxembourg is inviting applications for 5 PhD Student Positions in Photovoltaics: Semiconductor Synthesis, Characterization, and Fabrication of Devices. Positions will be funded up to 4 years with fixed-term contracts.
Starting date: September 2019
Role and responsibilities:
- These projects will be part of the PACE program and will involve close collaboration between the University of Luxembourg and the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology.
- Industrial visits and secondments are foreseen.
- The PACE program includes transferable skill training, support in career development, scientific lectures by international speakers and annual PhD retreats.
- The PhD candidates will be enrolled at the Doctoral School of Science and Engineering at the University of Luxembourg.
- The selected candidates will investigate micro-solar cells for high efficiency applications and investigate multi-junction solar cells for high efficiency applications.
Requirements:
- Candidate should have or be finishing an excellent master’s degree in one of the following: Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Crystallography, Material Science or Solid State Physics.
- An excellent command of English is required.
