Fully-funded PhD Scholarship (Scalable Advanced Nanomaterials) 1454 views

Swansea University is inviting applications for a PhD studentship in the field of scalable advanced nano-materials. The project will have the scope to work on synthesis as well as developing macro and nanoscale spectroscopic methods including micro-Raman and tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy with the aim of understanding exotic properties at the nanoscale.

Eligibility

  • Candidates should have a minimum of a 2.1 undergraduate degree and/or a Master’s degree with Merit (or equivalent qualification) in Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, Engineering or related discipline.
  • For candidates whose first language is not English, we require IELTS 6.5 (with 6.0 in each component) or equivalent. Please visit our website for a list of acceptable English language tests. We prefer candidates to have already met the English Language requirements at the point of application, although this is not a requirement.
  • This PhD scholarship is open to UK/EU applicants, or applicants with indefinite leave to remain in the UK.
  • Applications from overseas candidates are welcome, but candidates would be required to pay the difference between the UK/EU tuition fees and the overseas tuition fees.

Scholarship value: fully funded for three years covering UK/EU tuition fees and an annual stipend of £15,009 per annum.
