The Materials and Interface Nanotechnology Laboratory at University of Maryland is inviting a talented postdoctoral research fellow for a 2-yr appointment.
About the position:
- The successful candidate will join a collaborative research project in the area of Advanced Materials Processing between Profs. Salamanca-Riba, Rabin, Wuttig and Hu of the Department of Materials Science & Engineering.
- The project aims to understanding the effect of carbon nanostructures on the electrical, thermal and mechanical properties of metal-carbon composites.
- The project involves industry partners.
Requirements:
- PhD in Materials Science or related area.
- Experience: Priority will be given to candidates with experience in Metallurgy, High-Temperature Materials Processing, Thermal Transport Measurements, TEM, Nanocarbon Composites, and Instrument Design. Experience with Thin-film Technology, Electrochemistry, or Raman Spectroscopy is advantageous.
- The position is available immediately.
- Applicant must be available to work full-time by Aug 1, 2019.
