The post-doctoral position is for a one-year, commencing in September 2019.
About the position:
- This position seeks a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate who is interested in elucidating the mechanism of action of promising new metal complexes targeting DNA (including G-quadruplex secondary structures) that have been isolated from an in-house screening for their radiosensitizing properties and in visualizing G-quadruplex-interacting compounds in various cancer cell lines.
- The selected postdoctoral fellow will conduct several cellular assays, including cell imaging and ChiP-sequencing, and biochemical assays for in vitro evaluations of the aforementioned compounds.
- The selected postdoctoral fellow will also have ample opportunities to collaborate with internationally recognized biologists and chemists at the Institut Curie.
Requirements:
- Applicant should have a PhD degree in Biochemistry and should be proficient in cell culture and in modern molecular and cellular biology procedures.
- Experience with DNA repair pathways is a significant plus.
