KTH Royal Institute of Technology is inviting applications for Postdoctoral scholarship in Surface Physics/Chemistry. The scholarship is available at The Department of Applied Physics.
About the project:
- The purpose of this project is to describe, on a molecular level, the dehydrogenation and decomposition process of gasified biomass over Ni-based catalysts and the influence of common impurities such as potassium and sulfur.
- Adsorption/desorption and surface reactions of naphthalene using a set of molecular level technologies (both experimental and theoretical) on single crystal model systems, from UHV up to ambient water pressure and relevant reaction temperatures will be studied.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must hold a PhD in Physics or Chemistry when the project starts.
- Hands on experience with UHV equipment is a requirement. Maintenance and development of experimental equipment is part of the work.
- Experience in one or several of the methods (TPD, SFG, STM, XPS) is required.
- Candidate must be fluent in English.
Applications:
- Apply by e-mail to [email protected]. (mark application with reference number S-2019-1118) and include the following documents:
- Curriculum vitae
- Cover letter (detailing both your previous scientific work experience and your interest in this position)
- Research statement (max 2 pages)
- Contact information for three references
