Its interests encompass novel cycles, gas turbine simulation and engine performance diagnostics. Who can apply: Applications are invited from motivated individuals with an
- intimate knowledge of gas turbine engines and turbomachinery for air, sea and land applications.
- Ideally educated to Doctorate level, the appointees will be very familiar with gas turbine and component technology.
- The appointees will work very closely with the existing team of the Propulsion Engineering Centre and will make a key contribution to gas turbine propulsion research.
- teaching and student supervision activities within the Centre will be required. Industrial and related experience or a previous career in the services will be seen favourably.
You will need familiarity with turbomachinery analysis plus instrumentation and data acquisition techniques. It is essential for you to have obtained or be completing a PhD in a relevant engineering discipline. You need to conduct yourself professionally and have a methodical and adaptable approach.
