IIT Indore invites applications from outstanding, highly-motivated Indian nationals (and those of Indian origin / holding POI cards) for faculty positions at the levels of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and Assistant Professor (on-contract) for the disciplines of Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry. Mathematics. Economics. Philosophy, Psychology and Sociology.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Assistant Professor: Ph.D. with a first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record and at least three years of post-Ph.D. Industrial/Research/Teaching experience.
Candidates not satisfying eligibility requirement for direct recruitment as Assistant Professor may be put on tenure track as Assistant Professor (on-contract). Candidates should have Ph.D. and first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout.
- Associate Professor: Ph.D. degree with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of six years of teaching / industry / research experience, of which at least three years’ experience, should be at the level of Assistant Professor / Senior Scientific Officer / Senior Design Engineer.
- Professor: Ph.D. degree with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of ten years of experience, of which at least four years should be at the level of Associate Professor in any of the following Institutions: IIT, IISc Bangalore, IIM, NITIE Mumbai or USER, or at an equivalent level in any such Indian or Foreign Institution of comparable standards as may be decided by IIT Indore.
