PhD scholarship, The Geochemical behaviour of antimony in environmental systems, Southern Cross University, Australia

 Description:  The PhD positions will be centered within the Environmental Geochemistry & Mineralogy group. This project deals with the environmental behaviour of antimony in contaminated soil, sediment and aquatic systems. Also mineral microbe interactions influencing antimony behaviour, using experimental and analytical techniques (stable isotope tracers, synchrotron spectroscopy and Mossbauer spectroscopy).

Disciplines: Environmental Geochemistry, Mineralogy, Water Science, Environmental Sciences, Soil Sciences, Geo-Ecology, Geology, Chemistry, Chemical engineering.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or any equivalent degree in above field.

 Requirements:

  • Interest for scientific research in environmental geochemistry and soil/water science (water quality, soil contamination and environmental sustainability).
  • Excellent English language (both spoken and written).
  • Team working skills.
