The Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Infectious Diseases in the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar in Immunology.

Description

The postdoc scholar will be involved in the use of antigen-specific nanomedicines capable of re-programming different immune cell types in vivo, both in isolation and in combination, to blunt inflammatory bowel disease.

Research Area: The candidate will have the opportunity to use a variety of functional, phenotypic (e.g. multi-dimensional flow cytometry, mass cytometry), transcriptomic and epigenetic tools (e.g. scRNAseq, multiome, etc.) to dissect pharmacodynamic effects of therapy. The candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of scientists working at the interphase of protein engineering, nanomedicine, in vivo cell re-programming, developmental immunology and chronic inflammatory disease.

Required Qualifications:

A PhD in Immunology or related field, or an MD degree with relevant research experience.
