Postdoctoral Research Associates in Organic Chemistry , University of Oxford, Darren Dixon, Michael Willis, Martin Smith and Robert Paton

Applications are invited for three Postdoctoral Research Associates to work under the supervision of Christopher Schofield, Darren Dixon, Michael Willis, Martin Smith and Robert Paton, on a research project funded by UCB for a fixed-term period of 2 years.

The project involves the development of new synthetic methodologies aiming at introducing chemical groups important to medicinal chemistry on drug-like molecules through late stage C-H activation. Find out more about the supervisors’ research groups at www.chem.ox.ac.uk/.

You should have a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry or a relevant subject area, or have submitted your thesis prior to taking up your appointment. Experience in organometallic or biomimetic catalysis, photocatalysis, or mechanistic analysis will be an asset.
The University of Oxford and the Department of Chemistry are Athena SWAN bronze award holders. Applications are particularly welcome from women and black and ethnic minority candidates, who are under-represented in Chemistry research posts in Oxford.
