Organisation: IIT’s research endeavour focuses on high-tech and innovation, representing the forefront of technology with possible application from medicine to industry, computer science, robotics, life sciences and nanobiotechnologies. The Department of Neuroscience and Brain Technologies inside the Genoa-based Central Research Laboratories hosts research groups with strong multidisciplinary expertise and provides state-of-the-art laboratory facilities.
One post-doctoral position will be available in 2016 to study the role of retrotransposition in brain function and disease.
The ideal candidate must hold a PhD in molecular biology, genomics, neurobiology or a related discipline and be highly motivated and creative.
Experience in handling mice colonies, brain histochemistry, primary culture of neurons and/or iPS is welcome.
Salary and benefits are competitive for international standards.
