IIIT-NR has been established by the Government of Chhattisgarh with support of NTPC under the Chhattisgarh Act, No.15 of 2013. The Institute is set up to promote and facilitate studies, research, incubation and extension work in Information Technology (IT), its application domains and related areas of knowledge.
To enable this vision, IIITNR is being structured as a research centre and a modern laboratory to empower inter-disciplinary research and to enable smooth transformation of knowledge into applications and products thereof.

- Contribution towards New Pension Scheme (NPS), LTC, Medical re-imbursement, Transportation allowance, Education allowance for children, Reimbursement of telephone bills etc.
- A Cumulative Professional Development Allowance (CPDA) of Rs. 3 Lakhs for every block period of 3 years is available to every member of the faculty to meet the expenses for participating in both national and international conferences, paying
the membership fees of various professional bodies, for books and periodicals and contingent expenses, as well as for other professional development activities. - Suitable residential accommodation or HRA as per Institute rules shall be provided.
Instructions and Other Terms and Conditions
- Allowances and other terms and conditions of service shall be as decided by the Institute from time to time, subject to any directions, guidelines etc. of the State Government.
- The candidates selected, shall be appointed on probation for two years.
- The number of positions is likely to increase. The Institute reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all positions.
- The candidates must fulfill all the qualifications and experience criteria as laid down by University Grants Commission or All India Council of Technical Education from time to time as the case may be in addition to the ones stipulated herein.
