Full-time temporary position as Researcher in Neuroscience at the Department of Biomedicine at the University of Bergen (UiB)
Project “Synaptic circuit protection in AD and HD: BDNF/TrkB and Arc signaling as rescue factors” financed by the Norwegian Research Council.
The project is part of the EU Joint Programme on Neurodegenerative Disease Research. The project node at the University of Bergen is led by Professor Clive Bramham of the Neuroscience Research Group.
Project – The project examines Arc function and regulation of protein synthesis mechanisms in mouse models of neurodegenerative disorders.

Qualifications and qualities
- The applicant must have a doctoral degree in neuroscience or a related discipline and at least two years of postdoctoral experience
Experience In the following fields is requires –
- Electrophysiological recording of synaptic potentials in the hippocampus of intact mouse brain,
- Experience with immunoprecipitation, pulldowns, and subcellular fractionation
- Experience with confocal and superresolution microscopy of tissue sections
- Experience in the analysis of protein synthesis mechanisms is an advantage
