Aalto University School of Chemical Technology invites applications for:

Several Doctoral Student and Post Doc Positions in Inorganic Materials Chemistry. The positions are located in the Department of Chemistry, see link http://chemistry.aalto.fi/en/ . The Department of Chemistry at Aalto University has strong records in new inorganic materials research, in particular in oxide materials. Novel functional inorganic and hybrid inorganic-organic materials are designed, modelled, synthesized and characterized in both bulk-material and thin-film forms using state-of-the-art atomic-level experimental and computational methods.

The focus covers various important applications in sustainable new energy technologies including e.g. thermoelectrics, superconductors, SOFCs and Li-ion batteries.

Successful candidates shall have or are close to having an MSc or PhD degree in Chemistry, Materials Physics or Materials Science. Good command of English is a necessary prerequisite, and applicants for the Post Doc Positions are expected to have an excellent track record in experimental or computationalinorganic materials research.
