The Faculty of Science and Forestry at the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) is inviting applications for Three Postdoctoral Researcher Positions in Photonics. The positions are available in department of Physics and Mathematics.

About the positions:

Post 1: Spatial, temporal, spectral, and polarization control of light

Post 2: Fabrication of nanomaterials and nanostructures

Post 3: Characterization of nanostructured light sources and materials

Requirements:

• Applicant must hold an applicable doctoral degree that must be completed by 12 August 2019.
• The doctoral degree may not be from more than 5 years ago at the time when the position starts on 1 January 2020.
• An applicant with a doctoral degree completed more than 5 years ago can be considered for a specific reason only (maternity, paternity, parental or child care leave, military or non-military service).
• Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills.
• Demonstrated capability as highly organised, a creative problem-solver, self-motivated and able to work independently as well as within cross-functional teams.
• Good command of the English language.

Duration: 3 years from 1 January 2020; fixed term
