The Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, Stockholm, Sweden invites online applications from a highly motivated bioinformatician, computational biologist and/or biostatistician for filling up the position to join the NBIS support team available at the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, placement at SciLifeLab, Stockholm.

About the position: The centre combines frontline technical expertise with advanced knowledge of translational medicine and molecular bioscience. Selected candidates will work in a vibrant research environment and with a range of interesting projects in collaboration with different research groups and Carry out advanced bioinformatics analyses in a wide variety of research projects. central concepts to NBIS are “Reproducible research” and “FAIR data”.

No of Positions:1 to 4 positions

Position: Postdoc Fellow

Duration: 2 years

Salary: As per norms.

Qualification: Interested candidates must have PhD degree in bioinformatics, biostatistics, computational biology or other relevant area with  a strong background and interest in applied bioinformatics analyses of data from high-throughput DNA sequencing, mass spectrometry proteomics or other omics methods and Proficiency in transcriptomics, epigenetics, proteomics, single-cell biology, biostatistics and multi-omics integration. Candidates with Python and R, fluent oral and written communication skills in English, and strong skills in cooperation and communication will be preferred.
