The research focus of this interdisciplinary Centre is on Assembly of Functional Nanomaterials and Nanodevices, working from Nano Science through Engineering to Applications, with a view to realising scalable nanomaterials and nanodevices.
Research Themes: Research in the centre is aligned along four themes: Energy Materials, Sustainable Nano, Nano Biotechnologies and Nanoelectronics/Photonics:
- Energy Materials: Photovoltaics, Batteries, Photocatalysis of H2O, Solar fuels, Supercapacitors
- Sustainable Nano: Functional Nanomaterials, Green Processes, Efficient Nano-Assembly
- Nano Biotechnologies: Cellular Imaging, Sensing, Targeting of disease, Microfluidics, Scaffolds
- Nano electronics / Photonics: Graphene, Organic electronics, Spintronics, Piezoelectrics, Nanophotonics
