IITR-CSIR  a premier institute working under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). It conducts multidisciplinary R&D programs of both basic and applied research across different scientific disciplines for economic, environmental and of societal benefits for the society.

CSIR-IITR is involved in the following areas:

  • Environmental Toxicology;
  • Food,
  • Chemical
  • Drug Toxicology;
  • Systems Toxicology and Health Risk Assessment;
  • Nanotherapeutics and Nanomaterial Toxicology
  • Regulatory Toxicology;

CSIR-IITR has two main campuses;

  1. One campus is located at centre of Lucknow City
  2. Other campus is at a distance of 20 km from the main campus, approx.
