Jacobs University Bremen is offering two PhD Positions in Biochemical Engineering with a focus on Downstream Processing under the ITN project CODOBIO.
About the project:
- CODOBIO – Continuous Downstream Processing of Biologics – is an international training programme (ITN) funded in the frame of Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions.
- In the proposed research programme, the most urgent questions in continuous downstream processing will be addressed:
- Process control and modelling of continuous downstream processes
- Miniaturization, scale-up and scale-down of continuous downstream processes
- Process design and development of integrated continuous downstream processes
Duration: Full-time; limited for 3 years
Qualifications:
- Applicant must hold university degree (Master or Diploma) in the Natural Sciences, Biotechnology and Bioengineering or Engineering disciplines.
- A strong background in Biotechnology or Engineering Science
- Profound knowledge of the Bioindustry, in the context of the Bioeconomy
- Applicant must possess very good command of English, both in written and oral communication. German language skills are not required. Other European language proficiency is an asset.
- Applicant must be responsible, self-motivated, able to work independently and in an interdisciplinary team.
