2 Postdoc Positions: Biotech / Bioengineer at the NYU: Two (2) Postdoc Positions Available at the Drs. Snuderl Fenyo and Tsirigos laboratories at the NYU School of Medicine. This is a great opportunity to quickly acquire new skills, develop and publish new tools and methods, analyze challenging datasets and be a co-author in multiple studies.

Position 1: They are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to work on exciting clinical proteogenomics projects.

Major Responsibilities

1. Develop novel methods for integrating genomics data to generate new insights from biological datasets
2. Publish in high-impact journals
3. Work closely with experimental biologists to make exciting discoveries in cancer biology

Required skills

1. PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science or related disciplines
2. 3+ years of experience with sequencing data (two of DNA-seq, RNA-seq and ChIP-seq)
3. 3+ years of experience in Unix/Linux systems including HPC environments
4. 3+ years of experience creating customized sequencing analysis pipelines
5. 1+ years of experience in statistics and/or machine learning techniques
6. Formal training in statistics and machine learning
7. Scripting languages: Python or Perl
8. Statistical packages: R (preferred) or Matlab.
9. Excellent communication skills with proficiency in written and oral English

Position 2: Computational Biologist Post-doc Fellow

The Skok and Tsirigos laboratories at the NYU School of Medicine are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to lead innovative cutting-edge research in cancer chromatin organization and epigenetics.

Major Responsibilities

1. Develop novel methods for integrating genomics data to generate new insights from biological datasets
