2 Postdoc Positions in Computational Chemistry at Uppsala University: The Department of Cell and Molecular Biology, Uppsala University invited application for filling up the 2 researcher positions in computational chemistry/ computer-aided drug design available in Jens Carlsson’s group in the computational biology and bioinformatics programme with a focus on using molecular modeling to study protein-ligand interactions, in particular G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). The Division of Applied Nuclear Physics conducts research in the areas of nuclear reactions, nuclear fuel diagnostics and safeguards, neutron diagnostics for fusion energy and interaction of high velocity ions in various materials.

About the Project: This position is focused on modeling of GPCRs with the goals to understand receptor function at the molecular level and to identify ligands of drug targets. This research will involve molecular dynamics simulations to predict receptor structures and how receptors evolved to recognize their ligand.
