The Science for Life Laboratory (SciLifeLab) is a national center for large-scale biosciences with a focus on high-throughput health and environmental research. Science for Life Laboratory (SciLifeLab) is a relationship between four universities in Stockholm and Uppsala: Stockholm University, the Karolinska Institute, the Royal Institute of Technology, and Uppsala University.

About the position: These positions are offered in the Quantitative RNA Biology group controlled by associate professor Marc Friedlander, part of MBW and located at the SciLifeLab. Candidates  will progress beyond-state-of-the-art methods to profile the variation of microRNA expression, interactions between microRNAs and their targets, and the impact of microRNAs on the transcriptome and proteome, in single cells and they will also interact with experimental and computational researchers from the group, and will participate in limited co-supervision of PhD students.

Duration: The position is initially funded for two years, with a possibility of extension

Educational qualifications: Interested candidates must hold a Swedish doctoral degree or an equivalent degree from another country. Candidates must have extensive wet-lab experience with transcriptomic or proteomic methods, candidates with experience in single-cell context will be preferred.
