2 Postdoctoral Positions in Ecology at SLU: The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) develops the understanding and sustainable use and management of biological natural resources. SLU – Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Uppsala, Sweden invited applications from the candidates who are interested in optimizing flower strips to achieve more sustainable crop protection in agriculture for filling up the 2 postdoctoral researchers position in ecology: Flower strips for increased ecosystem service delivery in agriculture available the Soil Ecology unit at the Department of Ecology. The Department of Ecology conduct research for sustainable agriculture, forest production and biological conservation.
About the Positions: 1 postdoctoral position will test optimized flower strips in commercial strawberry production, both in conventional and organic fields. The other will evalute already existing field edges planted with flowers (so called multifunctional buffer zones) and indicate improvements of these flower mixtures.

Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have PhD degree in ecology, biology, entomology or an exam considered equivalent by the employer with documented experience in performing ecological field work and skills in insect and/or soil ecology are meriting, as well as experience in conservation biological control. Candidates must have documented skills in statistical analyses and scientific writing, Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral. Candidates who have been awarded the degree no more than three years before the application deadline will be preferred.
