The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi invites applications for faculty positions at the level of Assistant Professor Grade-I and Assistant Professor Grade-II in the School of Basic Sciences in the following areas:

For Assistant Professor Grade-land Assistant Professor Grade-U Positions:

1. Statistics and Data Science
2. Polymer synthesis and characterization/ Organic Synthetic methodology
3. Coordination/Organometallic chemistry
4. Computational chemistry
5. Experimental Condensed matter physics (Phonon dynamics in correlated systems, Raman
   Spectroscopy)
6. Theoretical condensed matter physics (Materials specific, superconductor, topological insulators,
   quantum magnetism, nano-scale materials)
7. Theoretical Astroparticle physics
8. Proteomics
9. RNA Biology, Translation control and Neuroscience

Requirements / Qualifications

1. A Ph.D. degree is necessary for a faculty position at IIT Mandi; however, candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis recently or arc close to completing their Ph.D. degree may also apply for the posts of Assistant Professor Grade-I and Assistant Professor Grade-II.
2. The essential qualification, experience, and pay scale for the post of Associate Professor arc given below:

Experience: A minimum of six (06) years teaching/research/professional experience of which at least three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor in an academic institution or equivalent position in a research organization or industry at the time of screening and shortlisting the applications.
