The Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB) is an institute involved in education, research and entrepreneur support programs and is based at Electronic City, Bengaluru.
The Institute was an initiative of Department of IT, BT and S & T of Government of Karnataka.
It is situated in a 20-acre campus in Electronic City, Bangalore with excellent infrastructure, students’ hostel and other amenities.
IBAB offers a distinctive Master’s Degree program with a dual specialization in Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology and an interdisciplinary PhD programme.
Scholarship Value: A scholarship of Rs 10,000/- per month from the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
Nationality: Indian students are eligible to apply
Eligibility Criteria:
The applicants must be Indian nationals with B.E. / B.Tech. Degree in Biotechnology / Bioinformatics/ Biomedical Technology /Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Computer Science and Engineering/Electrical and Electronics Engineering/ Information Technology or equivalent degree
or
M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Biochemistry/ Computer Science/ Information Technology / Statistics or equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% in the qualifying examination.
