The Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology – Hans Knöll Institute–(HKI) invites applications for 3 Doctoral Researchers (m/f) Systems Biology. They investigate the pathobiology of human-pathogenic fungi and identify targets for the development of novel natural product-based antibiotics. The positions are available under Marie Skłodowska Curie Innovative Training Network (ITN) BestTreat.
The selected Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) will be obtaining a PhD degree in the fields of metabolism, endocrinology, physiology, biochemistry, computational & systems biology, microbiology and bioengineering.
Starting date: 1st November 2018 or soon after
Duration: 36 months
Requirements:
- Applicant must have strong interest in conducting collaborative research and are expected to be interested in working at the boundaries of several research domains.
- Applicant must hold Master’s degree in Systems Biology, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biophysics, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Applicant must have knowledge and experience in the analysis of biological high-throughput data; knowledge in statistical methods in the context of biological systems.
- Applicant must have experience with programming (Python, Perl, C++, R).
- Applicant must possess well-developed collaborative skills.
