NS-ICAR (Netaji Subhas – ICAR) International Fellowship 2019-20
Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) calls for applications from the Indian as well as international scholars having Master’s degree in Agriculture and allied sciences for the “Netaji Subhas – ICAR International Fellowships (NS-ICAR IFs)” for the year 2019-20.
The NSICAR IFs are available aspirants who want to pursue doctoral degree in agriculture and allied sciences, in the identified significant areas, to the
- Indian candidates for study abroad in the identified overseas Universities/Institutions having strong research and teaching capabilities
- to international candidates for study in the Indian Agricultural Universities (AUs) in the ICAR-AUs system.
- Thirty fellowships for three years duration will be available.

Location:
- identified overseas institutions in case of Indian candidates
- identified Indian Agricultural Universities (AUs) from ICAR-AU system in India in case of candidates coming from outside India
Term of Fellowship:
- Fellowships are available to Indian candidates as well as international candidates for a period of 3 years only.
- Tenure of fellowship will not be extended, in so far as the Council support is concerned.
- If the candidate is not able to complete the degree during this period, candidate will use own resources for completing the degree.
- In case the candidate is not able to complete even after 2 years of the approved time of the program for which fellowship was authorized, the Council may take necessary steps, for the retrieval of the fellowship paid.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in agriculture/allied sciences with 65% marks or equivalent.
- Age: not more than 35 years of age on the last date prescribed for receipt of applications. The max. age limit for In-service candidates will be 40 years.
- Candidates must have completed their qualifying degree not more than two years before the specified date in the year of admission. The in-service candidates from India should be working with the ICAR-AU system.
